Purpose: The course aims to bring together and give impulses to students to deal with all those issues in the very interesting field of Digital Image Processing. Digital image processing is necessary on a huge number of applications such as applications where a vision system is used.

 

Objective: Introduction to the basic principles and techniques of Digital Image Processing

  3. image enhancement based on histograms
  4. image enhancement (points processing)
  5. Image filtering in space domain
  6. Image filtering in the frequency domain
  7. Image restoration
  8. Image morphology
  9. Segmentation and edge detection in Pictures
  10. Color Image Processing
  11. Image compression
